The leopard dress (or the dangers of confinement)
It would be nice if this confinement didn't last too long... Because the better it gets, the more I sew improbable things!! My new Fut'!
This week, I sewed myself a new FUT! Initially there was this crazy fabric I stumbled across in Bali... (I can't find Liberty here - I know, it's awful - but I find some really pretty ones printed viscose or rayon...) This time, I unearthed a navy blue viscose with pretty birds on it. My Look of the Day... or what to do with an ultra bright fabric!!
Dear passionate seamstresses, A little post today to show you my look of the day, totally homemade!! Initially, there was an immediate crush on this bright yellow fabric; a kind of embossed jacquard, really pretty... I found this fabric in Bali, at Alta Moda: a real Ali Baba's cave with thousands of fabrics on 5 floors! If you come on vacation to Bali one day, check out this store, it's definitely worth it... When I posted the design of my new jacket/coat on Instagram, I asked you what name to give it: And there, against all odds, many of you talked to me about Kate Middleton (and also Jacky Kennedy)! You thought it had a bit of an English chic side to it... And it's thanks to you that the MISS KATE & LADY KATE patterns were born:!
