I finally finished the "Mademoiselle" dress that my eldest was to wear to her little sister's baptism... 2 weeks ago! Whoops! As a result, she wore her turquoise dress, which I presented to you here...
For this version, I used royal blue cotton (unbeatable price: €12 for 3 meters on the "Les coupons de St Pierre" website), and Liberty Betsy Indigo (price a lot less unbeatable!!! Liberty, what! but it's so pretty...)
And here is the dress seen from the back:
I lined the top of the dress with Liberty, like Cath from Lou & Jo did...I thought it was very pretty in her version!
For the bottom hem, I tested a different method than usual, namely the hem bound with bias... Normally, the interest of this option is to use a contrasting bias to let it show, and not a bias pile of the same color as I did!! But hey, you get the idea ;-)
Some pictures of this "Mademoiselle" litter:
In front of our "scratch-off" world map (very nice concept):
Mademoiselle Pattern to be found in store here, in PDF version (€8.90) or Pochette (€14).
The dress is also available in Baby version, from 3 months to 2 years old!
Size 8 years old (for my 6 1/2 year old daughter who wears a size 8 years of trade)
I wish you a nice weekend under the sun!
