Today, I offer you a tutorial made by Sophie alias By Pimprenelle. Sophie had the good idea to transform the "Rendez-vous" pattern into a special breastfeeding top! And since she's nice, she even took some pictures and took notes that she sent to me ;-)
Sophie has created a hidden horizontal opening under the yoke, so that she can breastfeed her baby discreetly...
Here are the different steps to follow:
-------E*T*A*P*E*1------
On your half front pattern, draw a curve above the clamp.
The curve starts 2.5 cm from the side, and starts 1 cm above the dart. At the tip of the forceps, it is 2 cm. It stops 3 cm from the center front and 5 cm from the collar.
Draw 5 equally distributed points 1 cm below this curve. They mark the position of the resin pressures.
------E*T*A*P*E*2-----
Cut the pattern paper and with a chalk trace on your fabric the opening. You can also punch the pressure positions.
---------- E*T*A*P*E*3-------
Sew the top darts and make a buttonhole embroidery along the curved line drawn on your fabric. Like a huge buttonhole. Then slit the future opening with a seam ripper or a pair of small scissors.
------- E*T*A*P*E*4-------
Then place the male part of your pressures according to the punched locations. Pressure should be visible on this part of the gown.
(see photo step 7)
------E*T*A*P*E*5-------
On the yoke pattern, mark the location of the pressures opposite those at the top. Here they are 1.5 cm from the bottom of the yoke.
------E*T*A*P*E*6-------
Sew your two yoke pieces together and place the female part of your snaps on the lining of the yoke: the snap is invisible on the front of the yoke.
------E*T*A*P*E*7-------
Following the pattern's instructions for assembling the yoke you should have this result: a "Rendez-vous" blouse top with a huge buttonhole at each breast, all camouflaged under the yoke that clips and unclips. The middle of the gown is not open for added security. You can finish your gown as normal.

Thank you very much Sophie for these explanations!
