You must have noticed that several models of coats are on offer this year in the "Chut Charlotte!" boutique. The Aristo Coat, which we have already told you about here, the Boyfriend, which has just made its appearance (and which we will tell you about very soon!), and the Duffle Coat
For the record, know that the duffle coat takes its name from the material used to make it, the duffle, a kind of very thick wool. The name is derived from Duffel, a town in Belgium where this material comes from.
It was created in the XIXth century in England, first in the use by sailors. The Royal Navy equipped its soldiers with them from the end of the 1800s.
After the war, the British navy still having a lot of stocks to sell, the Duffle coat was the subject of massive marketing.
At Chut Charlotte, we love having fun with the timeless (bags, coats, blouses... to name a few), and revisiting them... By adding a little touch of bling that makes them more fun, and a little Liberty to make them even prettier!
The Duffle coat used by English sailors in the 19th century has therefore become a short coat, always comfortable, and a bit sparkling for women!
The proof in pictures:
Available in 3 colours: Navy Blue, Bordeau and Anthracite Grey
Sizes: XS to XL
The hood is lined with Liberty, and edged with glittering, silver or gold piping. As always at Chut Charlotte, you choose your favorite Liberty! And of course, if you're not a fan of Liberty, you can also opt for a fabric with polka dots or stars for example!
